Who we are

A club that runs like the firms we visit

The Accounting & Tax Society is the club for Georgia State students going into accounting, tax, and finance. Every semester we build a full calendar with partner firms: panels like Night with the Big 4, info sessions, and workshops. We plan them months ahead and we follow up with the firm afterward, because an event nobody prepared for wastes everyone's time.

We started in Fall 2024. Since then more than 440 students have joined, we've run 40 events with over 1,000 total attendances, and we've hosted all of the Big 4. There's nothing to apply for and no GPA to hit. You show up, and you start meeting the people who do this work for a living.

Your path

From first meeting to first offer

Most students end up doing it in this order.

  • 1 · Join (about two minutes)

    Add us on PIN, Georgia State's official student-org platform, so ATS shows up on your involvement record. Then join the GroupMe. It's free and there's no application.

  • 2 · Show up to your first event

    Pick anything on the calendar. Kickoffs and socials are the easiest place to start if you don't know anyone yet, and you'll leave knowing a few people in your major.

  • 3 · Get recruiting-ready

    We run resume and interview workshops ahead of recruiting season, so your materials are ready before firm deadlines start.

  • 4 · Meet the firms in person

    At firm nights like Night with the Big 4, you're in the room with the people who actually read applications. Bring a question or two. Most students leave with a contact.

  • 5 · Apply early, apply direct

    Firms send openings straight to us, and we post them on the Opportunities page with a link to their application. Accounting deadlines run early, often months before the job actually starts, so it pays to look now.
